A history exhibit — but make it life-size and fully immersive.
Schenectady residents will have the chance to step back in time this spring as “Titanic: An Immersive Voyage” continues its multi‑month run at Armory Studios NY and introduces a special one‑day anniversary program highlighting the ship’s historic launch.
The large‑scale exhibition, which spans March, April and May, invites visitors into an intricately recreated world of early‑20th‑century ocean travel. Life‑size cabin reconstructions, detailed artifacts of more than 200 historical items, immersive video projections and 3D animations guide guests through the ship’s creation, voyage and tragic sinking, and how its impact shaped the future of passenger liners.
Along with its regular programming, a special one‑day anniversary event commemorating the Titanic’s launch ceremony has been announced for Friday, April 10.
The evening will open with a cocktail reception featuring stationed hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar and a live string quartet performing period‑appropriate music. Guests will then have the opportunity to take part in a walking VR exploration that simulates a 2.5‑mile descent to the shipwreck site on the Atlantic seabed. Each attendee will leave with an exclusive commemorative poster.
Three timed sessions — 6:30 p.m., 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. — will be available for the one‑night event, with limited capacity.
Tickets for both the general exhibition and the anniversary program are available now via Fever and are 20% off for a limited time.
Pricing starts at $19.12 for general admission, varying by the date and time, and $29.52 for VIP access, with VIP tickets offering entry to the virtual‑submersible deep‑sea exploration experience. For the anniversary event, tickets are discounted to $60 from the original $75.
Located at Armory Studios NY, 125 Washington Avenue in Schenectady, “Titanic: An Immersive Voyage” aims to bring visitors as close as possible to the world of the famed ocean liner. The full exhibition runs approximately 60–90 minutes.
